The desire for a comfortable accommodation among students is proven to be the basic necessity after food especially for students who relocate from a far distance to attain academic achievements. Unfortunately, studies have shown that there has been student housing inadequacy and dissatisfaction among students in Nigeria tertiary institutions especially those in public institutions. Apart from the fact that Nigeria has the biggest university system in sub-Saharan Africa, the country has seen a surge in students’ enrolment over the years. The surge, however, has not been matched by a corresponding growth in increased quality facilities for student accommodation.
