Summary

So, why are patients traveling abroad for healthcare? It is often acute tempting to attribute much of this to lack of local facilities, inability to perform procedures locally, and high costs charged where services are available. While this is true in some cases, the data might suggest that there is a more fundamental problem that's driving patients to seek care outside Nigeria.
